Los Angeles Chargers' Upcoming Schedule Is Absolutely Brutal

While it’s way too early to count out the Los Angeles Chargers, their 2026 schedule looks awfully tough.

The Chargers were overwhelming favorites to defeat the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, and yet, Jim Harbaugh’s squad suffered a 26-14 loss at home. Their secondary had no answer for Arizona’s trio of Trey McBride, Kendrick Bourne and Michael Wilson, giving up a total of 277 passing yards to Jacoby Brissett.

“Some just uncharacteristic things happened,” Harbaugh said postgame. “I would call it sloppy at times, too sloppy. And that’s something we got to get fixed.”

Unfortunately for Harbaugh, things could get worse before they get better. Over the next three weeks, the Chargers will face teams coming off impressive Week 1 victories.

Here’s the upcoming schedule for the Chargers:

  • Week 2 vs. Raiders (1-0)
  • Week 3 @ Bills (1-0)
  • Week 4 @ Seahawks (1-0)
  • Week 5 vs. Broncos (0-1)
  • Week 6 @ Chiefs (1-0)
  • Week 7 Bye
  • Week 8 @ Rams (0-1)
  • Week 9 vs. Texans (0-1)
  • Week 10 @ Ravens (1-0)

Already dealing with a key injury.

As if losing Week 1 wasn’t bad enough, the Chargers announced that star wideout Ladd McConkey is dealing with a rib injury. He had five catches for 82 yards and a touchdown this past Sunday against the Cardinals.

“Ladd’s a really good football player,” Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert said. “We’re really glad to have him, and he made a ton of plays today, so I’m hoping he feels better.”

If McConkey misses Week 2, that would certainly hurt the Chargers’ chances of getting in the win column Sunday.
