Los Angeles Rams’ Schedule Ranked From Cupcake To Behemoth
NFL: Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers Kyle Terada-Imagn Images

The Los Angeles Rams are flying high heading into Thanksgiving with plenty to be grateful for. However, the season is far from over. At 9-2, LA can still technically finish barely above .500, so there’s still a lot to be decided. Luckily, it appears that most of the most difficult games are behind the Rams. That said, there are still multiple behemoths lying in wait.

Here’s a look at how the remaining opponents on the schedule stack up for Los Angeles.

#1 – Seattle Seahawks

The Los Angeles Rams took care of business against the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 16, forcing Sam Darnold into four interceptions. Darnold will have the crowd on his side next time around when Los Angeles travels to Seattle on Dec. 18 in a primetime showdown for the ages.

The weather is likely to be hostile, and after staging a near comeback against Los Angeles last time around, the Seahawks won’t have any confidence issues heading into the game. As long as they can slow down Jaxon Smith-Njigba and maintain a lead to keep the crowd out of it, the Rams can win what could be the de facto championship game of the NFC West.

#2 – Detroit Lions

The rivalry between the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams has been legendary since the Matthew Stafford-Jared Goff trade in 2021. The Rams will have to contend with the red-hot Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown to win bragging rights over Jared Goff.

Based on the Lions’ placement in the thick of their own division race, the contest could cost the Lions the NFC North. As such, LA will get the best shot Dan Campbell can muster with his transplanted quarterback.

#3 – Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers have been up and down this season. Loaded with young talent, the 6-6 unit is talented enough to give the Los Angeles Rams a run for their money, but the Rams are simply more experienced, and it will show.

The Rams will travel across the country for the showdown, however, giving the Panthers an added boost. If Los Angeles’ stiff pass rush can contain Rico Dowdle, they should have little trouble being the second-straight NFC West team to defeat Bryce Young when the two teams play on Sunday.

#4 – Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons were stiff in September, but they have slipped into purgatory this season. Michael Penix Jr. is out for the year, leaving the Los Angeles Rams to contend with Kirk Cousins, Bijan Robinson, and Drake London if he can get on the field.

Overall, it could be a relatively forgettable win for the Rams, with the only real danger being the Rams themselves. As long as Sean McVay can keep his team from letting their foot off the gas, they should have no trouble.

#5 – Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals gave the Los Angeles Rams fits in 2024, but that is not likely to be the case again. The Cardinals have seemingly regressed into the dark depths of quarterback purgatory, and it’s likely to get much worse before it gets better.

The Rams have yet to play against the Cardinals this season, but aside from putting up fantasy football points with Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch when it’s too late, Los Angeles has little to fear. In their last two matchups against NFC West opponents, the Cardinals have lost by a combined 41 points.
