Luke Kuechly lands a new NFL media job

Luke Keuchly is taking some more steps into NFL broadcasting work.

Kuechly will serve as the lead game analyst for Netflix’s NFL broadcasts next season, according to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic. The Hall-of-Fame linebacker is set to work four of the five Netflix NFL broadcasts in 2026 alongside Noah Eagle, starting with the Week 1 game between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia.

Kuechly and Eagle took part in a tryout earlier this month, and Marchand says the two had immediate chemistry. That was enough to make Netflix comfortable with putting Kuechly on its No. 1 team.

Kuechly does have some previous broadcasting experience, having worked Carolina Panthers game on the radio before. There is obviously a significant difference between that role and the job of a No. 1 television analyst, but it does mean the former linebacker is coming into the gig with at least some experience under his belt.

Netflix has moved into live sports in recent years and already had the rights to broadcast Christmas Day NFL games. They have suggested they would like a bigger package of games in the future, so Kuechly could be in line for a rather significant role if that happens and he acquits himself well.
