The San Francisco 49ers are 4-1 entering Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, also 4-1.
Brock Purdy has played just two games this season for the 49ers due to injuries. Mac Jones, the former No. 15 pick by the New England Patriots, has filled in with Purdy injured.
In Week 5, the 49ers defeated the Los Angeles Rams, 26-23, in overtime as Jones threw a pair of touchdown passes.
Entering Week 6, Jones was listed as questionable due to an oblique injury, casting doubt on whether or not he would play against the Buccaneers.
Ahead of the game, the status of Jones got an update, via Adam Schefter of ESPN.
"49ers QB Mac Jones, listed as questionable for Sunday due to an oblique injury, is expected to play vs. the Buccaneers, per sources. There is 'a chance' that San Francisco’s regular starting QB, Brock Purdy can return for next week’s game vs. the Falcons."

Jones was limited in practice for two consecutive days.
On Friday, Jones was questionable, and the only other QB on the active roster is former Nebraska star Adrian Martinez.
The 49ers are 3-0 with Jones as the starter, and he has thrown for 905 yards with six touchdowns in three games. He has led them to wins over the Rams, Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints.
Against the Rams, he had 342 yards and two scores, and he had three touchdowns on September 14 against the Saints.
So, all signs point to Jones getting the start on Sunday against the Buccaneers.
