The New York Football Giants' no good, very bad 2024 season is finally over. At 3-14, the team is slated to pick in the top four of April's NFL Draft and will be hoping to find the future of the franchise at the quarterback position.
Despite the instability under center, one player found a way to thrive in his rookie campaign.
Wide receiver Malik Nabers logged 64 yards and a touchdown on five catches Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite the 20-13 loss, he managed to be the lone bright spot for New York.
What a play by Nabers

Those five receptions helped Nabers make some franchise history. He now tops the list of all-time Giants receivers with the most grabs in a single season with 109.
That's not just amongst Giants rookies all-time, he's beaten all receivers who have ever put on a jersey for the franchise in its 100 year history. Steve Smith held the record previously with 107 receptions in the 2009 season.
Nabers racked up 1,204 yards but only seven touchdowns in his rookie campaign. He managed to do so catching passes from four different starting quarterbacks, which is impressive on its own.
If New York is able to select a franchise-altering passer in the first round of the draft, Nabers could become a big problem for the rest of the league.
New York's front office may have hit a home run in a year that was devoid of much success.
