Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown advocates for Ravens to sign cousin, Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown claims he's retired from the NFL, but that doesn't mean he'll never return to the football field.

Reigning MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson advocated for Brown to join the Baltimore Ravens, and now his cousin, Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, is doing the same.

"I feel like he could fit in this locker room," Brown told reporters on Wednesday, according to TMZ Sports. "He’s gonna go out there and give 100% and seeing guys like that is gonna make other guys do the same.

"I been working out with AB since I was in college so I know he’s a guy that’s going to push you and he’s a guy that’s gonna take care of his body."

Signing Brown is quite the risk. The seven-time Pro Bowler was suspended for the first eight games of the 2020 season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. If the Ravens do decide to take on the wide receiver, it won't be until that suspension is served.

Jackson worked out with Brown in April and confirmed later in the month that he was interested in having the 32-year-old join the Ravens.

It remains to be seen whether Brown would be interested in giving it another go in the NFL. In a Twitter tirade last month he said that the "risk was greater than the reward."

Brown requested and was released in September after Oakland (now Las Vegas) fined him over $215,000 for conduct detrimental to the team. He then signed a deal with the New England Patriots but played just one game with the organization before being released after sexual assault allegations came to light.

Brown reportedly was drawing interest from multiple NFL clubs this offseason, including the Ravens and Seattle Seahawks.
