The NFL postseason is underway, and after dominant victories by the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens on Saturday evening, 12 teams remain in the hunt for a trip to the Super Bowl on Feb. 9.

Several matchups are set to unfold over the course of Sunday and Monday, as the stakes continue to rise. With the playoff race in full-form, many analysts have shared their predictions for Super Bowl glory, including former star quarterback and current CBS Sports analyst on "NFL Today," Matt Ryan. Ryan offered his full playoff predictions, providing insight into which teams he believes have the best chance of reaching the big game.

The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback, who led the team to a Super Bowl appearance in 2016 and won the MVP award that same year, predicts that this is the year of Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. Ryan has the Ravens defeating the Detroit Lions in the Super Bowl, which would mark Lamar Jackson's first career championship and the Ravens' first title since 2013.

"I'm gonna say Lamar Jackson gets his first Super Bowl and has an historic run in the playoffs. We'll see how it shakes out, that's just my two cents, but it's gonna be fun to watch," Ryan said.

Matt Ryan was never able to win a Super Bowl. In 2016, when he led the Atlanta Falcons to the big game, it was famously overshadowed by the New England Patriots' 28-3 comeback led by Tom Brady.

However, over the course of his career, Ryan amassed tremendous accolades. He was a four-time Pro Bowler, holds the single-season NFL record for the highest passer rating (119.9 in 2017), and is a member of the Falcons' Ring of Honor.

In April of 2024, Ryan announced his retirement from professional football. Although his playing career ended in 2022, he spent his final season with the Indianapolis Colts before making his retirement official.
