Matthew Berry has been one of the biggest names and innovators in the world of fantasy football over the past few decades. Berry, who doesn't work as an NFL insider, does live and work around the game of football seemingly 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
With Berry in Indianapolis this past week to attend the NFL Combine, he recorded an episode of his "Fantasy Football Happy Hour" podcast the morning of Friday, Feb. 28. With regular weekday episodes ranging from 50 minutes to one hour, Berry generally discusses a wide range of NFL topics on his podcast.
Friday's episode turned Berry into a prognosticator, as he predicted who Matthew Stafford would sign a contract extension with as well as that Deebo Samuel would get traded in the coming days. He even predicted the team that would make a great fit for Samuel.
From 10:30am this morning on #FFHappyHour from the #NFLCombine ... just a few of the rumors I've heard. The Stafford one broke a few hours later ... More in there about the Browns, and a WR about to be traded. @croucherJD @ConnorJRogers @LordDontLose pic.twitter.com/xG0PUocUqw

"I think he's staying in L.A., that's my sense," Berry said just hours prior to the Stafford news breaking. Berry went on to say, "I think it's going to be a one year deal."
Time will tell if he's correct on the duration of the extension, as the details of Stafford's deal with the Los Angeles Rams has not been made public yet.
Berry also said this, days prior to the Deebo Samuel trade news breaking:
"Deebo Samuel is going to get traded in the next couple of days. Not released. He's going to get traded and it's going to happen in the next few days."
Berry was right again.
And the (possibly biased) cherry on top, was Berry's prediction of where Samuel would be a great fit for a trade:
Commanders would make a ton of sense. https://t.co/4QZI0J2kEx

Berry is publicly known as a Washington Commanders fan and has been expressing his excitement over the acquisition of Samuel since the news broke. Berry went on to forecast more moves from the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, and Tennessee Titans ahead of the NFL draft as well as free agency. The NFL world will be on the lookout to see if anymore of Berry's predictions come true.
