Maxx Crosby Makes Personal Announcement Before Training Camp

The Las Vegas Raiders have been one of the worst teams in the NFL over the last two decades. Since the team went to the Super Bowl in 2002, the Raiders have won only 35.9% of their contests and been to the playoffs just twice, earning no victories in that span.

A major component of this continued failure has been an inability to find quality players in the NFL Draft. The franchise has a bad habit of picking busts in the early rounds and finding no value on Days 2 or 3.

But in 2019, the Silver and Black selected Eastern Michigan edge rusher Maxx Crosby with the No. 106 overall pick in the fourth round, who has turned into one of the best players in the league at his position.

Crosby is now entering his seventh professional season with the Raiders and has four Pro Bowls and two Second-Team All-Pro honors under his belt. Ahead of training camp, Crosby made a personal announcement, which is that he will be releasing a music EP soon.

"Dropping An EP Before Season," Crosby wrote. "Haven’t Put Anything Out In Years. Gonna Show Yall A Hobby Of Mine. PRESSURE. ."

Upon his arrival in Oakland as a rookie, Crosby impressed Raider Nation with his freestyle rapping ability in the locker room on HBO's Hard Knocks. As his fandom has grown every year, Crosby has continued to diversify his ventures off the field.

He started his own podcast, "The Rush With Maxx Crosby," and has invested in several brands and events, thanks in part to his three-year, $106.5 million extension he struck this offseason with new general manager John Spytek.

On the field, Crosby will be reporting to Raiders training camp on Tuesday, July 22, with the rest of the team's veterans. He and head coach Pete Carroll will be preparing for their first season together with the Silver and Black, which begins on the road against the Patriots.
