Maxx Crosby Promises 'Change' After Raiders' Sixth Loss of the Season

Despite a new coach in Pete Carroll and Tom Brady's involvement, the Las Vegas Raiders continue to struggle as a franchise. The team dropped to 2-6 on the season on Sunday after losing their Week 9 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Raiders were up 9-6 heading into the fourth quarter and maintained their three-point advantage, 26-23, with less than two minutes remaining in the game. Unfortunately, Cam Little's 48-yard field goal tied the game and forced overtime, where Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence put Jacksonville ahead 30-23 with a one-yard touchdown run.

While the Raiders scored a touchdown to make it 30-29, their two-point conversion attempt failed, giving the Jaguars the victory.

Making matters worse for the Raiders, they were actually up against a sick Lawrence, who had been dealing with an illness leading up to the game.

Las Vegas has now lost two straight and four of its last five games, keeping the team at the bottom of the AFC West.

After the game, defensive end Maxx Crosby took to X to send a message to Raiders fans and promise them a better future amid their struggles.

"Raider Nation I Love Yall With Everything In My Heart & Soul," Crosby wrote. "Yall Deserve Better. Stay As One, It Will Change."

Crosby — who recorded four tackles, one sack, three tackles for loss, one pass defended and one QB hit in the loss to the Jaguars — has been involved in trade rumors as of late. While the Raiders have made it clear they don't plan to move their defensive star, his future will continue to be a major talking point amid the team's struggles.

In fact, there are still plenty of discussions about his potential trade destinations despite the reports about the Raiders' desire to keep him.

It will also be interesting to see what the Raiders will decide to do by the Nov. 4 trade deadline, especially after Crosby promised that things will eventually change.
