Maxx Crosby talks NFL draft rumors claiming the Las Vegas Raiders will be taking QB Jayden Daniels
Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Like many teams, the Las Vegas Raiders are involved in a ton of NFL Draft rumors. In the Raiders' case, the rumors involve the team taking a quarterback, either by trading up or staying put. One of the most heard rumors involving the Raiders is that they are trying to do everything they can to grab quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Daniels and Antonio Pierce have had a long-term relationship since Daniels was 14 years old. Pierce was the defensive coordinator at Arizona State when Daniels was there before he transferred to LSU and won the Heisman.

The team and players hear those rumors, and while a lot of fans, and maybe even players, want Daniels in silver and black, you can't say too much.

"Everyone's rumored that's the guy we're gonna trade up, but we will see," Maxx Crosby told Vegas Sports Today. "He's an incredible player at the collegiate level, but the NFL is a different level. He knows he has a ton of work to do; I have watched a lot of his films; he's got every talent and ability you can imagine… we will see what happens."

The Las Vegas Raiders need to get their quarterback of the future this offseason. Aidan O'Connell had some good moments, but I don't think, and the franchise doesn't seem to think, that he can be that guy that changes the outlook of the franchise.

Daniels has been connected to the Raiders, whether it be Brandon Aiyuk of the San Francisco 49ers saying he hears a team just outside the top 10 will trade up for him on Instagram Live, or maybe it's other rumors around the league. Either way, the Raiders love what they see in him. They feel Daniels embodies what they want as the face of the franchise, he embodies what it means to be a Raider, and most importantly, he would fit Luke Getsy's offense.

Now, it's just about going and getting him, which will likely have to happen by way of trade.
