Maxx Crosby, YOU are a Baltimore Raven

The Baltimore Ravens are officially going for broke.

Baltimore has, historically, been a team that loves their draft picks under the direction of general manager Eric DeCosta. And I'm sure they still do. But some moves are simply too good to pass up — and for DeCosta, the line he's willing to cross seems to be "Maxx Crosby ". According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, DeCosta has scorned his habitual draft pick collection and traded two first-round draft choices to the Las Vegas Raiders for Crosby's services.

Ravens trade two first round picks to Las Vegas for star pass rusher Maxx Crosby

The Ravens are sending two first-round picks to the Raiders — the first one coming next month with the 14th overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft. Baltimore will also be without their 2027 first-round choice; it marks a major departure for Baltimore but also offers a major piece of the puzzle for new head coach Jesse Minter in his first season as the Ravens' new head coach.

Prior to this announced deal, the Ravens' pass rush on the edge anchored by young talents and role players on the edge. It should make second-year pass rusher Mike Green more impactful. And it has the potential to turn the AFC North upside down if quarterback Lamar Jackson can get back to his dynamic, explosive ways.

Baltimore's first pick in the 2026 NFL Draft is now currently scheduled for 45th overall. The team also has another top-100 pick at No. 80 overall. This year's first round of the NFL Draft puts the Ravens on the fringe of a splash talent; this move ensure's they'll get one with that asset. I'm sure Ravens fans won't mind on Thursday night when pick No. 14 comes on the clock — Crosby highlights will do just fine for the first round.
