Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons has had an unbelievable start to his career in the NFL. Over five seasons in the league, the former Penn State Nittany Lions standout has totaled 297 tackles, 75 tackles-for-loss, 65 sacks, 11 forced fumbles and 10 pass breakups. He has made the Pro Bowl in all five seasons and had two first-team All-Pro selections.
Parsons was taken with the 12th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys , and he spent the first four years of his career wreaking havoc for them. Before the 2025 season, the 26-year-old was traded from Dallas to Green Bay for three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round draft picks.
After being traded to the Packers, Parsons signed a four-year, $188 million contract extension with Green Bay, which made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
In his first season with the Packers in 2025, the 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive star was having another standout year. Through 14 games, he totaled 41 tackles, 12.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass breakup. However, his season came to an unceremonious end, as he tore the ACL in his left knee against the Denver Broncos on Dec. 14.
He underwent surgery to repair the ACL on Dec. 29. On Tuesday, Parsons shared an update on his social media one week after the surgery: "One week and we’re stronger!"

While Parsons will miss the playoffs this season, Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley said that he believes Parsons will be back and better than ever in the 2026 season.
After finishing the regular season with a 9-7-1 record, Green Bay enters the playoffs as the No. 7 seed and will take on the second-seeded Chicago Bears (11-6) in an NFC wild card game on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on Prime Video. The game will also air on WGBA NBC 26 in Green Bay, WITI FOX 6 in Milwaukee and WFLD FOX 32 in Chicago.
