As the offseason continues to drag on, one glaring problem the Dallas Cowboys have yet to fix is signing star EDGE Micah Parsons to a long term extension, as he's set to play 2025 under a fifth-year option.

Owner Jerry Jones has stated that "most of the issues we're in agreement on," but with no contract agreed to, it puts Parsons' future with the team in jeopardy.

That's why, in an article from Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports, where he lists one player from each team who could be "trade bait" ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, with his choice for the Cowboys being Parsons..

"He is arguably the best defensive player in football and the Cowboys say they intend to give him the massive contract he deserves … eventually," Vacchiano wrote. "But every day they delay that seemingly inevitable outcome adds to the persistent murmurs that Dallas might deal him instead....It would have to include multiple first-round picks, including at least one that's pretty high, and possibly players, too. Dealing him might be raising a white flag on the 2025 season, but the king's ransom in return could set them up for years to come."

There's no doubt that many teams would be interested in Parsons, who in the past four years has accumulated 256 tackles, 52.5 sacks, 63 tackles for loss, 122 quarterback hits and 177 pressures.

Along with those impressive numbers, he's also been named to four Pro Bowls, First-Team All-Pro twice and won Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021.

Of course, if any team did take Parsons off the Cowboys' hands, they would also need to keep an open mind to the fact that he is reportedly seeking $200 million in his extension.
