The Chicago Bears-Green Bay Packers Week 5 showdown continues to be talked about in NFL circles. Their rivalry runs deep, and several players have spoken about it. Micah Parsons made an accusation on Luther Burden III on Tuesday.
Chicago entered the matchup riding a two-game winning streak. However, the team saw it end via a 31-7 loss at Lambeau Field, with Caleb Williams missing his third straight game. Tyson Bagent started in his place and completed 12-of-21 passes for 87 yards and two interceptions. He was benched in the fourth quarter for Case Keenum, who recorded 11-of-19 completions for 108 yards and one interception. Burden finished with four receptions for 47 yards.
Parsons has yet to make his season debut as he continues to recover from an ACL tear sustained in December. The star pass rusher landed with the Packers in August 2025 from a trade with the Dallas Cowboys.
Parsons called Burden and the Bears “rage baiters.” He accused the wide receiver of wanting to have attention on him, especially with his comments ahead of Sunday’s game about forcing Green Bay to quit.
“I don’t be worried about him,” Parsons said. “They’re rage baiters. They wanna be viral all the time… I don’t got no response for him. I’m in too good of a headspace to get in that world. You gotta leave it to the people who care about that. To me, this his second year in the rivalry. This my second year in the rivalry. I don’t got nothing to say. We ain’t earn that right yet.”
Micah Parsons on his podcast, The Edge, on Luther Burden: “I don’t be worried about him. They’re rage baiters. They wanna be viral all the time … I don’t got no response for him. Burden has been part of a lot of headlines this week for his back-and-forth with NBA star Anthony Davis on social media. The exchange between the Bears wideout and the long-time Packers fan proved that the rivalry goes beyond the field. Chicago and Green Bay will meet again on Christmas Day at Soldier Field in what promises to be another fiery matchup.
