Las Vegas Raiders star edge rusher Maxx Crosby was signed to a three-year, $106.5 million dollar extension this offseason by new general manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Carroll, further proving his worth to the Silver and Black.
This extension came at the best time, as Las Vegas was able to pay less for their star edge rusher by setting the market early in the offseason. Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons recently name-dropped Crosby as his bitter contract negotiation wears on.
"Some teams, with guys like Maxx (Crosby), it was like, man, they knew I was coming up and they just wanted to take care of him. And I just think, 'Must be nice,'" Parsons said.
Cowboys DE Micah Parsons and CB Trevon Diggs gave an impromptu availability to give their own side of the front office’s comments yesterday.

The Raiders have been a poor drafting team for the better part of two decades. Somehow, former general manager Mike Mayock and head coach Jon Gruden stumbled into the All-Pro Crosby with the No. 106 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
In six seasons with the Silver and Black, the Eastern Michigan product has collected 59.5 sacks, as well as 105 tackles for loss. He is a four-time Pro Bowler and a two-time member of the All-Pro Second Team.
Parsons has just been in the league for four years, but he is already a four-time Pro Bowler himself with two First-Team All-Pros to his name as well as a Defensive Rookie of the Year award. His contract could easily be worth more than Crosby's if he ever signs it.
Spytek was smart to get out ahead of things, as Crosby's once-record-breaking contract is now barely clinging to the top 10 in terms of average annual salary among non-quarterbacks.
