The Washington Commanders' training camp is officially underway, and Terry McLaurin is still nowhere to be found.
The 2019 third-round pick hasn't participated in any of the team's offseason practices, and it looks like he's ready to hold out if he doesn't get a contract extension.
When asked about that, head coach Dan Quinn claimed that he wouldn't lose too much sleep over the situation.
"It's part of the business of the NFL. I don't judge it or get too worked up about it," Quinn said, per David Aldridge.
GM Adam Peters, on the other hand, reaffirmed the team's desire to have McLaurin there for the long run:
"Obviously, you would like to get these things done quicker than longer but it's not always going to happen that way," Peters said. "We're dealing with a really good player and a really good person...Our goal is to get a long-term deal done."

Reports indicate McLaurin is looking to get around $30 million a year, which, judging by his production and similar players and their contracts, seems pretty fair.
He's just 29, and he's coming off the best season of his career, the first with Jayden Daniels, posting 82 catches for 1,096 yards and 13 touchdowns.
McLaurin has been one of the most productive players in the NFL year in and year out, and that's despite having one of the most questionable quarterback situations.
So, now that they may have finally found their quarterback for the future, not locking up his best weapon might not be the wisest decision.
