Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons has been one of the best pass rushers in the NFL since he entered the league in 2021.
Parsons has recorded at least 12 sacks in his first four seasons and helped the Cowboys make the playoffs in three seasons (2021-23). The only season they have missed the playoffs with him on the roster was this past season when they finished with a 7-10 record.
Parsons wants to win in the playoffs, which led to a fascinating conversation with Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry. Henry told Parsons he wanted a Super Bowl ring, but when Parsons asked Henry if he would be willing to join the Kansas City Chiefs for one, Henry said no.
"I'm playing with the quarterback I always wanted to play with," Henry said.
After Henry said that, Parsons told the live audience that if he doesn't get a Super Bowl ring in the next four or five years, he may leave for the Chiefs.
"In the next four or five years, once I hit that 30, and I'm not where I need to be, if that ring is not right here and fitted...," Parsons said before hinting that he'd go to the Chiefs.
If he wants to win a ring with the Cowboys, they'll have to have a deep run in the playoffs. The Cowboys have made the divisional round several times over the years but haven't been to a Super Bowl, let alone an NFC Championship Game, since the 1995 season.
If they want to make a deep playoff run, they'll have to fill a few holes and get more consistent play from a few position groups.
The Cowboys recently hired Brian Schottenheimer as their new head coach after they parted ways with Mike McCarthy.
