Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons will practice this week for the first time since tearing ligaments in his left knee on December 14, 2025.

Coach Matt LaFleur confirmed Monday that Parsons is expected to take part in a practice session “sometime this week,” with Wednesday’s workout scheduled as the team’s next full session. Parsons did not join Monday’s walk-through and continued rehabilitation work with trainers.

Parsons remains on the physically unable to perform list. He had surgery on December 29, 2025, to repair both a torn anterior cruciate ligament and a torn meniscus — a more extensive procedure than standard ACL reconstruction. The Packers have 21 days from his first practice to activate him to the 53-man roster.

LaFleur said Parsons will not play in Week 9 against the New England Patriots or Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings. Green Bay has a bye in Week 11. His earliest possible regular-season return would be the Thanksgiving Eve game against the Los Angeles Rams.

In his first season with Green Bay, Parsons recorded 12.5 sacks and led the NFL with 64 pressures across 14 games. The Packers acquired him from the Dallas Cowboys in August 2025 in exchange for two first-round draft picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark, then signed him to a four-year, $188 million contract extension.
