The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense got out to a rough start in 2020 as veteran quarterback Tom Brady tried to learn a new playbook for the first time in 20 years. This season, things are different.
With Brady entirely in command of the playbook and the offense being the same as last year, the Bucs are slated to be better than ever, at least according to standout wide receiver Mike Evans.
"We're miles ahead of what we were last year," Evans said regarding his work with Tom Brady, according to Pro Football Talk. "Not just me and his connection, but the whole team, the whole offense. It's really exciting and hopefully we can do something really special this year."
Many throughout the Bucs organization have echoed Evans' comments, saying the team should be better in 2021 because of Brady's familiarity with the offense.
The Buccaneers are hoping to repeat as Super Bowl champions this season, and nothing is stopping them from doing so, not even COVID-19. Bucs head coach Bruce Arians recently announced the team has a 100% vaccination rate, meaning it will not have to forfeit any games due to a coronavirus outbreak.
Tampa Bay has the second-best odds to win the Super Bowl at +600, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. The Kansas City Chiefs have the best odds at +500.
