Minnesota Vikings G Dakota Dozier hospitalized for COVID-19 issues

Minnesota Vikings offensive guard Dakota Dozier was hospitalized due to complications from COVID-19, coach Mike Zimmer said Wednesday via ESPN's Courtney Cronin.

According to Zimmer, Dozier is in stable condition. He is also vaccinated against COVID-19.

"It's serious stuff, so, I don't know," Zimmer said. "Like, 29 guys are getting tested because of close contact, including myself. Just do what we do."

Minnesota currently has five players on the COVID/Reserve list, including safety Harrison Smith, who tested positive and was placed on the list just 90 minutes before last Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

More team-wide testing is expected to take place, Cronin reported.

It has been a rough news day for the Vikings, who are also in the spotlight due to a developing case regarding allegations of assault and domestic violence against running back Dalvin Cook
