While we are fully entrenched in all of free agency, the National Football League decided to release the compensatory draft picks for the 2025 NFL Draft. They awarded a total of 35 compensatory selections with three of them being awarded to teams that had an assistant get hired for a head coach or general manager job by another team.
Last year, the NFL awarded the compensatory picks and announced the entire draft order on the same calendar day, except last year it was the first day of the legal tampering period.

The lack of selections have come from a bevy of trades.
General manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has not been afraid to make trades with draft picks. The Vikings are set to not have a second-round pick for the third-straight year with trades to acquire T.J. Hockenson and Turner, but the latter was mainly due to the desire to move up for a quarterback.
The Vikings are likely to move around during the NFL Draft to acquire more picks in the NFL Draft, especially with the wealth of talent being between picks 20 and 70. There could be a lot of movement by the Vikings to get closer to 10 draft picks.
