Multiple media members give Tua Tagovailoa MVP support

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is having the best season of his career and is now starting to gain some media support in the MVP race.

Tagovailoa has thrown for 2,265 yards and 18 touchdowns and leads the league with a passer rating of 118.1.

Before Sunday’s win over the Browns, Robert Griffin III put Tagovailoa third in his top five MVP candidates.

On Monday, Griffin had even higher praises for the quarterback.

Griffin is not the only ESPN personality to say Tagovailoa should be considered for MVP. Dan Orlovsky said on First Take on Monday that he is very much in contention.

Miami is 7-0 when Tagovailoa has started and finished the game, and despite missing two full games, he has some of the best statistics in the league.

Tagovailoa gained support from the media, but the history books are on his side, as well.

With 285 yards, three touchdowns and a passer rating of 135 against Cleveland on Sunday, he became just the second quarterback ever to accomplish the feat in three straight games.

The other was Kurt Warner in 1999, when he won MVP.
