National Weather Service Issues Advisory For Packers vs. Bears Playoff Game

The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears will square off this Saturday for the third time this season. As of now, it sounds like weather will play a factor.

There were concerns that snow would impact the Packers and Bears at Soldier Field on Wild Card weekend. While the snow won't be heavy, the latest update from the National Weather Service should have both Matt LaFleur and Ben Johnson on high alert.

"A rain/snow mix will overspread the area this morning, and may change over to wet snow for a time over far northern IL," NWS Chicgo said. "Blustery snow showers arrive toward evening and persist area-wide overnight."

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, there'll be 20-30 mph wind gusts during this Saturday's playoff game. The temperature around kickoff should be below freezing because of the wind chill.

"With the wind and the slightly falling temperatures, [we 're] looking at wind-chill values there in the mid- to upper teens through most of the evening hours," Todd Kluber of NWS Chicago said.

Rivalry renewed.

When the Bears and Packers met on Dec. 7 at Lambeau Field, Jordan Love had 234 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-21 victory. Caleb Williams got revenge just 13 days later, throwing a game-winning touchdown pass to DJ Moore in overtime.

Even though Williams is making his playoff debut this Saturday, he's convinced he'll rise to the occasion.

"I think I am built for these moments mentality wise how I've worked," Williams said, via NFL.com. "I've been in a bunch of big games before and a bunch of big rival games. In those moments and in these moments, I think I can provide a spark for the team. I think I can do whatever my team needs me to do. Whether that's stay in the pocket, whether that's run, whether that's scramble, whether that's hand the ball off 30 times and be energetic about it. Whatever it takes is where I'm at and where I'm going to be at for these next couple weeks hopefully."

Kickoff for the Packers-Bears game is at 8 p.m. ET on Prime Video.
