New England Patriots' efforts to immortalize Tom Brady's legacy at Gillette Stadium officially have an unveiling date

Tom Brady's tenure with the New England Patriots ended on a bit of a sour note. But the organization has done all of the right things since Brady's retirement to help properly mend the relationship. The scars of a divorce that ultimately cast New England down the path of a difficult transition and propped Brady into a new chance to display his greatness are fading fast.

And now, Brady is set to be immortalized on the grounds that he helped forge a dynasty unlike any that the league has seen on. The Patriots revealed this afternoon that Tom Brady will have his statue revealed on August 8th ahead of the team's preseason contest against the Washington Commanders.

Brady posted 134 wins at Gillette Stadium as a member of the Patriots, a whopping number that helped all of those New England teams collect an inside track to postseason runs — because too many times the road to the Super Bowl ran through Brady, Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.

Owner Robert Kraft and company are certainly hoping the installment of a full-time Brady fixture on the grounds can help New England to regain some of their magic touch on their home turf. The entire direction of the Patriots this offseason has been in the spirit of recapturing "the Patriot way" and perhaps the Brady statue can be the good luck charm the Patriots need to see it through.

These are, amid the recent struggles, exciting times in New England. Young quarterback Drake Maye showed plenty of promise as a rookie, new head coach Mike Vrabel knows the ins and outs of the organization, the local media and the community all too well, too. Getting back to Brady-level dominance is a long ways off. But a constant reminder of what this iteration of the Patriots are chasin certainly isn't a bad thing. And as of August 8th, New England will have that on-call and on display.
