New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins DFS Start Em’ Sit Em | Week 2
- New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye (10) scrambles out of the pocket against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium on Dec 15, 2024.

Neither the New England Patriots nor the Miami Dolphins is used to being winless, but that’s where they find themselves as they meet in Week 2. The difference between the teams is that New England had some good performances from their first game to build off of. One of the biggest mysteries in the NFL is what happened to the Dolphins offense, who only put up a field goal against the Colts. Coming off that game, it’s probably not smart to expect many Dolphins players on the start side of this list.

Lock of the Game

Drake Maye

Miami Dolphins

(0-1)

It wasn’t like Maye had a scorching hot performance against the Raiders, although he did look quite good at times. He was fairly accurate, completing 30 of his 46 pass attempts. The reason why he is a lock is that opposing quarterbacks might do well against Miami this season. After all, look at Daniel Jones, who had his career-defining game against Miami in Week 1. This should be an opportunity for Maye to air it out.

Start ‘Em

Kayshon Boutee

New England Patriots

AT

Miami Dolphins

(0-1)

The fact that Boutee was the leading receiver in Week 1 from the Pats says a lot. The 103 yards were nice to see, but the most important stat for him were the eight targets. It’s quite possible that he might become Maye’s preferred receiver, with Stefon Diggs running long routes to take the top off the defense and catching a few passes here and there. This game against Miami should be good offensively for New England, so Boutee would be the number one receiver to benefit from that.

TreVeyon Henderson

New England Patriots

AT

Miami Dolphins

(0-1)

TreVeyon Henderson led the team in rushing yards against Las Vegas, but what was really impressive was his pass-catching work. Henderson had six catches, which was tied with Stefon Diggs and Kayshon Boutee for first on the entire team. Even if Stevenson gets a lot of work on the ground, Henderson will be seen often in passing formations and should get plenty of targets from Drake Maye. The Patriots are also looking to score much more in this game compared to what they scored in Week 1, and Henderson would naturally benefit from that.

Sit ‘Em

Tua Tagovailoa

Miami Dolphins

VS

New England Patriots

(0-1)

It will take a long time to get the bad taste from Week 1’s destruction by the Colts out of Tua’s mouth. As time goes by, it’s probable that he will get it together with his offense and start looking like the 2023 version of himself. There is no way to recommend Tua be on any starting lineup for Fantasy now, though, especially with other surprises like Daniel Jones and Justin Fields performing much better in Week 1.

Tyreek Hill

Miami Dolphins

VS

New England Patriots

(0-1)

One of the big reasons why Tua struggled in Week 1 was because he couldn’t find Tyreek Hill for one of those home run balls they are used to connecting on. Hill had four catches, but only for 40 yards. His longest catch went for only 21 yards. It’s doubtful that Hill can flip the script over a week against a solid defense in New England. It may be time to move Hill to the bench, but keep him on the team for sure.

Fade of the Game

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine

Miami Dolphins

VS

New England Patriots

(0-1)

Some eagle-eyed football fans might remember Westbrook-Ikhine from when he was a Tennessee Titan. Unfortunately, Westbrook-Ikhine was only targeted twice with one catch for seven yards. He likely won’t be a large part of this offense going forward, even though Miami might need to throw often to keep up with New England in this game.
