Rumors of a potential new uniform began circulating in early July, as reported by SportsLogos.net. The report accurately named the team's helmet reveal and predicted the day for a jersey reveal.
While the Saints' teaser didn't show much of the team's new uniform, fans have already begun speculating what new threads the black and gold could be wearing in 2025.
Veteran defensive end Cameron Jordan was the main focus of the teaser. While that's not abnormal and Jordan is often the focus of media-related videos for the Saints, there could be a bigger meaning. The 15-year edge rusher has been advocating for New Orleans to bring back the gold jerseys for years, with his most recent plea coming when the team revealed their alternate white helmets earlier this month.

New Orleans could combine a new alternate gold jersey with their black alternate helmets, which were revealed in 2022. Many fans weren't thrilled with the team's black helmet, but a combination of the black version with a modern gold uniform could win the fan base over.
The Saints also fittingly released their teaser at the same time as NFC South rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers released their new alternate throwbacks. While Tampa Bay's uniforms did receive a lot of hype, New Orleans' teaser stole the show with fans eagerly waiting to see what the Saints do next after the success of their helmet reveal a week ago.
