The New Orleans Saints may look different in more ways than one next season, according to recent NFL news that has sparked plenty of social media discussion.
Via Andrew Lind, the Saints are one of five NFL teams who will reveal new alternate helmets soon.
According to multiple sources, the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Commanders will all unveil new alternate helmets this summer, confirming a previous report from FanDuel’s Zach Cohen.
Details are limited at this time, so it’s unclear if the Browns, Commanders and Saints will introduce a new shell color or simply tweak their existing alternate designs. But one thing for certain is that the Chargers and Steelers will finally add a second shell to their respective closets, leaving the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers as the only teams without a second shell.

New Orleans has worn their alternate, black helmet in recent seasons, but the fan reaction probably has not been quite what they hoped for when they added it to their uniform combinations.
In my opinion, a completely new alternate helmet would be the best route for New Orleans. The non-matte black helmet just does not m match really any uniform combo they put together, especially with a white jersey.
Instead, I would love to see them introduce a white helmet to the selection. Fans have clamored for that to be worn alongside the white jersey/pants combo, and they could even use it if they want to wear gold pants more often again.
Regardless, New Orleans is getting a potential new look added to the mix for when they kickoff later this year. Keep an eye out here for updates on the new potential helmet for the Saints.
