The Dallas Cowboys got back to winning ways on Christmas Day with a much-needed 30-23 victory over the Washington Commanders. This was Dallas’ first win in its last four games.
Dak Prescott led the charge against the Commanders, finishing with 19-of-37 completed passes for 307 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. The five-time Pro Bowler also rushed four times for an additional 24 yards.
The victory did not have any bearing in terms of the Cowboys’ season after they had already been eliminated from playoff contention. Nevertheless, the fact that they got back in the win column is a positive development for this team.
Dallas, now 7-8-1, will close out its campaign against the New York Giants in Week 18. The Cowboys will be on the road for their season finale as Jaxson Dart and Co. host the contest at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
On Sunday night, following the primetime matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Chicago Bears, the NFL announced the final schedule for Week 18.
The Cowboys and the Giants will play on Sunday, Jan. 4, with kickoff scheduled at 1:00 p.m. ET.
