In NFL Week 10, the Baltimore Ravens picked up their third consecutive win by beating the Minnesota Vikings 27-19 on the road. The Ravens ran the ball 36 times compared to 29 pass attempts. Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson finished with a quiet 17-of-29 passing for 176 yards and one touchdown. He also had nine carries for 36 yards.
One of his dropbacks proved costly for Vikings linebacker Dallas Turner. With just 10 seconds remaining in the first half and the Ravens deep in Vikings' territory, Turner planted Jackson into the turf at U.S. Bank Stadium for what looked to be a sack. Turner was flagged for unnecessary roughness on the play, but that was not the only punishment he received.

Because the 247-pound Turner landed his body weight on Jackson, his hit on the quarterback was subject to a $17,389 fine from the NFL.
Turner was also given an identical $17,389 fine for a separate incident in the first half against the Ravens for a hip-drop tackle, taking his Week 10 bill up to $34,778.
Two other players from the Vikings defense were fined for their actions in the loss. Cornerbacks Fabian Moreau ($6,972, use of the helmet) and Isaiah Rodgers ($17,389, hip-drop tackle) received punishment after the Ravens game.
On-field, safety-related decisions are released by the league on its gameday accountability page each week. There were 24 fines handed out from the 2,233 total plays that took place across the league's last week of games. The largest fine of $46,371 was given to Washington Commanders linebacker Ale Kaho for use of the helmet.
Per NFL guidelines, players are notified of violations and may appeal any ruling. The fines collected are donated to the Professional Athletes Foundation and the NFL Foundation.
Jackson and the Ravens will look to stay hot against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET, while the Vikings face an NFC North matchup against the Chicago Bears at 1 p.m.
