Buffalo Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb has been handed a $17,911 fine for hitting Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert in Week 3 action.

The Chargers remained winless in the new NFL season after falling 24-16 to the Bills in Week 3 at Highmark Stadium.

Los Angeles star quarterback Herbert led the team, completing 20-of-34 passes for 226 yards, one touchdown and one interception. But it wasn’t enough to record their first victory, and the Chargers are now 0-3 and dead last in the AFC West.

During the same game, Herbert took a hard hit from Chubb at the 14:44 mark of the first quarter. Chubb came in late as Herbert threw an incomplete pass.

Referees flagged the hit instantly, calling a roughing-the-passer violation against Chubb. The Chargers ultimately scored on the drive, with Herbert finding Keaton Mitchell on a one-yard touchdown pass.

The NFL reviewed the incident and decided to punish Chubb for his actions. The league announced the player fines on Saturday, which included a $17,911 fine for the Bills LB for a hit on a quarterback.

Chubb and the Bills remain undefeated this season. Their perfect start will be on the line on Sunday against the New England Patriots. The Bills will host Drake Maye and Co. at Highmark Stadium.

Meanwhile, Herbert and the Chargers are looking to finally secure their first win of the season as they hit the road Sunday to face the defending NFL champions, the Seattle Seahawks, in Week 4 at Lumen Field.
