The Philadelphia Eagles may have an ascending quarterback in Jalen Hurts who isn't done making postseason magic happen, but part of the reason he was able to flatten the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl was the fact that he has the luxury of one of the game's best offenses at his disposal.
On any given play, Hurts can dump it off to Saquon Barkley or chuck it deep down the field to the mighty AJ Brown. When paired with Devonta Smith, arguably the best WR2 in the league outside of Puka Nacua, the Eagles have a tandem that is very rarely stopped.
Pro Football Focus listed the Eagles as the No. 1 wide receiver room in the league, beating out a Cincinnati Bengals team that has Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins at its disposal. This ranking is an indictment of the surrounding pieces this team has around Hurts and All-Pro running back Barkley.
Not only do Brown and Smith give the Eagles one of the greatest 1-2 punches in football history, but Dallas Goedert also graded out as a top-eight tight end in the league based on PFF's internal metrics. If Jahan Dotson finally breaks out, the sky is the limit.
The Eagles are always going to be a run-first team as long as they have Barkley and this offensive line, but their two star wideouts can't be ignored. Smith would be the No. 1 wide receiver on around half the teams in the league, which is a testament to his quality as a No. 2.
Brown, meanwhile, is putting up some of the gaudiest receiving numbers in the league despite playing on a run-first team that is usually chewing clock when leading late in the game. Imagine what he could do with Cincinnati or Minnesota's passing game and target share.
The Eagles could put some distance between themselves and the field if Dotson, a former Penn State star and first-round pick they acquired from the rival Washington Commanders, lives up to his potential. If he does, this group could quickly become an all-time good one.
The Eagles have positioned themselves well to succeed in the immediate and long-term future, and this wide receiver room is a big reason why. After dominating some of the best defenses in the league in the playoffs, many who want to challenge Philly for the role of best WR group in the game don't have a leg to stand on.
