NFL Draft 2026 Top 10 draft picks and full rookie contract projections

The 2026 NFL Draft has arrived, and the first round did not disappoint. The top 10 picks are in, and some of the next generation of NFL stars now know where they'll be starting their careers.

There were a few expected selections at the top, and one trade that caught a lot of people off guard.

Here is a breakdown of the top 10 picks along with their projected rookie contracts, per Spotrac.

No. 1 — Las Vegas Raiders: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

The Las Vegas Raiders kicked things off by selecting Fernando Mendoza out of Indiana with the first overall pick. Mendoza is projected to sign a four-year, fully guaranteed deal worth $57.2 million, which includes a $38.1 million signing bonus. He could slot in as the 20th highest-paid quarterback in the league at $14.3 million per year.

No. 2 — New York Jets: David Bailey, ED, Texas Tech

The New York Jets went with edge defender David Bailey from Texas Tech at No. 2. Bailey's projected contract comes in at a fully guaranteed four-year deal worth $54.6 million, with a $36.2 million signing bonus attached.

No. 3 — Arizona Cardinals: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

Arizona used the third pick on Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love. His projected deal is a fully guaranteed four-year contract worth $53 million, including a $35 million signing bonus. At $13.2 million annually, Love is set to become the seventh highest-paid running back in football.

No. 4 — Tennessee Titans: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

The Tennessee Titans went receiver in the top five, taking Ohio State's Carnell Tate at No. 4. Tate's projected deal is a fully guaranteed four-year contract worth $51 million, with a $33.6 million signing bonus. His $12.7 million average per year would rank him 32nd among wide receivers.

No. 5 — New York Giants: Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State

The New York Giants made their first pick of the night at No. 5, selecting Ohio State linebacker Arvell Reese. Reese is projected to land a fully guaranteed four-year deal worth $47.8 million, including a $31.2 million signing bonus.

No. 6 — Kansas City Chiefs (via trade with Cleveland Browns): Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU

This was the pick that turned heads. The Cleveland Browns traded the sixth overall selection to the Kansas City Chiefs, receiving picks No. 9, 74, and 141 in return. Kansas City used that pick on LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane. Delane is projected to sign a fully guaranteed four-year deal worth $42 million, including a $27 million signing bonus.

No. 7 — Washington Commanders: Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State

The Washington Commanders added another Ohio State linebacker to the board, selecting Sonny Styles at No. 7. Styles is projected to sign a fully guaranteed four-year deal worth $32.5 million, which includes a $23.5 million signing bonus and a first-year cap hit of $6.7 million.

No. 8 — New Orleans Saints: Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

New Orleans went receiver with the eighth pick, selecting Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson. Tyson's projected deal is a fully guaranteed four-year contract worth $32.5 million, including a $20 million signing bonus and a 2026 cap hit of $5.9 million.

No. 9 — Cleveland Browns (via trade with Kansas City Chiefs): Spencer Fano, OT, Utah

The Cleveland Browns turned the pick they received from Kansas City into Utah offensive tackle Spencer Fano at No. 9. Fano is projected to sign a fully guaranteed four-year deal worth $32.2 million, with a $19.9 million signing bonus and a $5.8 million cap hit in 2026.

No. 10 — New York Giants: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami

The Giants closed out the top 10 with their second pick of the night, selecting Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa at No. 10. Mauigoa's projected deal comes in at a fully guaranteed four-year contract worth $30.9 million, including an $18.9 million signing bonus and a $5.6 million cap hit in 2026.
