NFL Draft analysts re-graded the Titans selection of Peter Skoronski in the 2023 NFL Draft

In the newest episode of "The Football Room," James Foster turned back the clock to the 2023 NFL Draft.

After watching their rookie seasons, we re-graded the first 16 picks in the first round.

Which included the Tennessee Titans' selection of offensive lineman Peter Skoronski with the eleventh pick. This article will share how we graded the pick and some of what we had to say about Skoronski.

James Foster: B-

"I went with a B-. Speaking of offensive linemen that need to get stronger, Skoronski is the epitome of that. Most of his losses came to just power, and he also had issues where he takes his sets a bit too aggressively. He is still adjusting to moving inside, and he will overextend. I think there are some technical issues with his footwork. What makes me really confident in Peter Skoronski is how good he is with his hands and how athletic he is. I think that's a combination that if you can get that play strength up you are looking at least a starting-level guard."

Destin Adams: B+

"I went with a B+; I hope with the new staff, they (Titans) view Skoronski as strictly a guard moving forward; I think he can be really strong there. He was probably one of the most consistent pieces in this (2023 NFL Draft) first round. I think Skoronski is going to be a key member of this line, and he probably will be the best overall lineman for the Titans this upcoming season."

Skoronski had his fair share of ups and downs last year, but the confusion on whether or not he was a tackle or a guard at the NFL level deserves the most of the blame there. I think he is in store for a big sophomore leap this season, and it'll help to have a more stable LT beside him, with the team drafting Alabama offensive tackle JC Latham in the 2024 NFL Draft. They had one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL last season, and they were aggressive during the offseason to make sure they improved the group as a whole heading into next year.

Check out the rest of what James and I had to say about Skoronski and the rest of the first half of the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft by checking out the episode now.
