Will Campbell is widely viewed as one of the top offensive tackles in the 2025 NFL Draft, but NFL teams don't necessarily think he's worth a top-10 pick.
NFL Draft expert Todd McShay revealed some negative things he's heard about LSU OT Will Campbell in his latest show.
In his show posted on Monday morning, McShay revealed that NFL teams think the best offensive tackle in this class (which is most widely believed to be Campbell) would've been the fourth or fifth best OT in the class.
“Offensive tackle one this year, would be offensive tackle four or five last year," said McShay.
McShay also revealed that Campbell is thought to be one of the Patriots' - who own the fourth pick in the draft - top targets. However, "no one" thinks that's a smart pick.
“Will Campbell could go number four to the Patriots," said McShay. "But no one in the league thinks it’s a great idea or that he’s worth that pick”
Here's a link to McShay's newest show where he talks about Campbell and more NFL Draft news:
Offensive tackles are a premium position and are always some of the most sought after players in the NFL Draft. Despite what teams might think, Campbell is still a lock to be a top-15 pick and will almost certainly be selected within the top-10.
It's a bit discouraging to hear how teams view him, especially because he entered his junior year as a guy many viewed as an elite talent. However, all it takes is one team to believe in him for him to be a very successful OT in the NFL.
