Once again, the Los Angeles Chargers have done it, with their latest schedule release video generating buzz among NFL fans. This year, the franchise leans into a “Halo” video game theme. One highlight recreates Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud’s awkward post-game lecture to Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.
The segment introduces the Chargers’ Week 9 matchup against the Texans in November. In the animation, a Spartan avatar representing Stroud corners a Williams-coded Spartan before giving him unsolicited advice.
The video released on Thursday plays the exact audio from the September 2024 exchange. The clip circulated quickly on Instagram and other social media platforms after its release.

NFL fans reacted quickly to the Chargers’ promotional video featuring Williams’ shuffling-away move. They praised the franchise for the highly entertaining clip.
“Chargers always cook on their videos ,” a fan commented.
“Gotta give it to the Chargers they always do funny videos,” another said.
“Chargers gotta have the best marketing team in the league ,” a user wrote.
“Love the Halo animation ⬇️,” another said.
“LMAOOOOO,” a fan posted.
“That’s [expletive] comedy,” another remarked.
The original interaction occurred after Houston handed Chicago and Williams their first loss of the 2024 season in a 19-13 defeat. Stroud shook hands with the rookie quarterback following the game and told him to “stop taking those hits.”
“Yeah, I know, right?” Williams replied as he slowly turned to leave the field. However, Stroud quickly pulled him back for another message before he could head to the locker room.
“Come here,” the Texans star quarterback said. “Learn from those mistakes, and everything that you got, bro, is in you already, bro. You going to be a hell of a player in this league.”
Even though Williams did not appear keen on receiving the advice, he still expressed gratitude before parting ways with Stroud.
The moment gained attention because Stroud acted like a veteran big brother to Williams, even though they both entered the league in back-to-back draft classes. Stroud was selected No. 2 overall by Houston in 2023, while Williams was chosen No. 1 overall by Chicago in 2024.
The Chargers are known for their schedule release videos, which blend sharp humor with polished production. In their full “Halo” video, the team also poked fun at other figures from their upcoming opponents. These included the Kansas City Chiefs, the New England Patriots, and the San Francisco 49ers.
