New Orleans Saints defensive end Cam Jordan comes up short for the 2025 Walter Payton Man of the Year.
At Thursday night's NFL Honors Program, Drew Brees and Steve Gleason presented Jacksonville Jaguars' Arik Armstead with the prestigious award.
It wasn't so long ago that Jordan was named the 2025 Bart Starr Award recipient, as announced by Athletes in Action. That was presented by Tony Dungy, with his family joining virtually to help celebrate with Jordan. On Saturday morning, Jordan will be honored at a special breakfast in New Orleans.
Cam Jordan also recently announced that he was establishing a scholarship program for high school senior that will reward several students with a considerable gift to an in-state college or university. Every Tuesday during the season, you'll find him in the community.
There's only one of these awards, and this year felt like Jordan had a great opportunity to get it. The accolades would have been big for him, but the thing about Jordan is regardless of the outcome, he's going to be the same in the community how he's been from the start.
