It's been an eventful week for "FOX NFL Kickoff" host Charissa Thompson, that's for sure.
Thompson has been a key contributor at FOX since joining the network back in 2013. Additionally, she hosts Prime Video's "Thursday Night Football" pregame show. There was some speculation about her possibly leaving FOX, but she shut down that noise in April.
"No, I'm not leaving FOX. I was never leaving FOX," Thompson said. "I don’t know where this took on a life of its own, where I was hosting my family at the ranch for the past weekend. Four of my family members asked, ‘Well, the place looks great. How are you going to afford it now that you don’t have a job?’ I’m not leaving FOX. I was never leaving FOX. I’m not fired."
Any lingering rumors were put to bed this week when Front Office Sports reported that FOX signed Thompson to a lucrative contract extension. Her podcast co-host, Erin Andrews, also received a new deal.
Thompson hasn't commented on her new deal with FOX. On Saturday, however, she posted a few vacation photos on Instagram.
The talented FOX host shared several pictures of her lounging on a boat with her boyfriend, Steven Cundari.
"Steve was sick of me asking strangers to take a photo and hear me say things like 'could you please lift the phone higher' or 'sorry can you take another one.' So, he went along with my #NotEngagementPhotos idea. You’re welcome Steve, you look great," Thompson wrote for her caption.
Thompson was introduced to her boyfriend through Matthew and Kelly Stafford.
"Dan, the story there is that Matthew Stafford and Kelly were sick of me dating losers and they were like ‘We have a great guy for you.' So they were the matchmakers," Thompson said, via People. "So it was vetted. I know the social security and the bank account now, so all is right
Only time will tell if Cundari and Thompson take the next step in their relationship.
