NFL Legend Makes Lamar Jackson Statement After MVP Snub

The Baltimore Ravens had a relatively good 2024 season, finishing with a 12-5 record and clinching the AFC North title.

Much of their success is thanks to the performance of quarterback Lamar Jackson, who once again proved why he is always in the MVP conversation.

Jackson posted remarkable stats, throwing for 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns, and only four interceptions, while also rushing for 915 yards and four touchdowns.

Despite these outstanding numbers, Jackson was snubbed for the MVP award, which went to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

In an interview with RG, NFL legend Drew Brees shared his thoughts on Lamar Jackson and the MVP snub. Brees, a two-time NFL Offensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl XLIV MVP, praised Jackson.

“Lamar Jackson is a guy who has such a unique skill set,” Brees said. “Because there is no other quarterback that can run like him. You could truly design an offense and a game plan behind his ability to run or his ability to affect how the defense plays the run, just because of the threat that he poses.”

As the Ravens look ahead to the offseason, they are focused on addressing key areas to build on their success.

One of the biggest decisions they face is whether to retain veteran offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, who is set to become a free agent.

The team is also looking to bolster their wide receiver corps and offensive line through the draft and free agency.

For the Ravens to be successful in the upcoming season, they need to address several key weaknesses.

First, improving their secondary is crucial, as they have struggled with pass coverage and allowed significant yardage to opposing quarterbacks. Adding talented cornerbacks and safeties will bolster their defense.

Second, acquiring a dominant edge rusher will enhance their pass rush and overall defensive performance, which has been inconsistent.

Lastly, improving their third-down defense is vital, as they have struggled to get off the field and give their offense more opportunities to score
