NFL: Legend Tom Brady makes Chicago Bears decision
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams (18) looks on during warmups before an NFC Divisional Round game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Tom Brady had his fair share of battles against the Chicago Bears during his legendary 23-year NFL career. Brady faced the Bears on the field on seven different occasions, and he got the better of them almost every single time. The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback holds a 6-1 career record against Chicago.

When he officially retired in 2023, the seven-time Super Bowl-winning QB transitioned into a career in broadcasting with Fox Sports. Since then, he’s had the opportunity to view the game from a different perspective. Brady has gained a greater appreciation for quarterbacks in the NFL now that he’s no longer competing against them. This includes the Bears’ QB1, Caleb Williams.

Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams’ pass hailed best throw of the season by Tom Brady

Brady recently revealed his collection of best passes from the 2025 season, and Williams made the list. In fact, it was the Bears QB who topped Brady’s list.

It wasn’t Williams’ awe-inspiring touchdown pass to Cole Kmet in the divisional round to force overtime against the Los Angeles Rams. For Brady, what stands out the most out of Williams’ throws this season is his game-winning TD pass against the Green Bay Packers in Week 16.

Brady prefaced Williams’ pass by describing the magnitude of the situation. According to the future Hall of Famer, the Bears-Packers matchup was “one of the games of the year.”

“He launches the ball from his own 45-yard line,” Brady said. “Keep in mind, it was about 15 degrees outm and there was about a 20 miles-per-hour wind. The longer the ball’s in the air, the harder it is to throw it accurately and the harder it is to catch it.

“DJ Moore gets a step on the corner, Keisean Nixon, and Caleb throws it back across the field 60 yards in the air. It was an absolutely perfect throw. A-plus throw. A moon ball for a walk-off win in Chicago.”

Brady’s high praise for Williams speaks volumes about the Bears star’s elite talent. Brady is one of the greatest to ever do it, and it means a lot coming from him.
