According to a new study by Pickswise, Levi’s Stadium — the home of the San Francisco 49ers — is officially one of the top 10 least congested NFL stadiums. Levi’s Stadium ranked as the seventh-least congested NFL stadium, scoring 60.6 out of 100.
Pickswise’s study revealed that the stadium has lower levels of gameday traffic, quicker travel times, and cleaner air than the average stadium. Pickwise conducted the study with the help of sports picks, parlays, and predictions specialists who analyzed congestion levels around each stadium on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. local time, measured how long it takes to travel 10 miles at evening rush hour, and considered local pollution levels around each NFL stadium, to give a total score out of 100.
Levi’s Stadium is more than just the home of the San Francisco 49ers. The gameday congestion stands at 20%, which is 5.3% less than the NFL average of 25.3%, and contributes to the seventh-best figure in the league. The time it takes to travel 10 miles in the Santa Clara, Calif. area is the ninth quickest across all stadiums at just 16 minutes and 28 seconds. The air quality in the Santa Clara area is also lower than the average NFL stadium, with an IQAir air quality index of 39, which is 3.2 points better than the league average of 42.4.
Levi’s Stadium trailed the Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, Arizona Cardinals, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, and Houston Texans, and tied the Cincinnati Bengals in the best NFL stadiums for smooth gameday traffic list. However, Levi’s Stadium ranked well ahead of California’s other NFL stadium, SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., which ranked in 25th place.
