NFL Makes Maxx Crosby Announcement Before Broncos Game

Maxx Crosby has been leading the Las Vegas Raiders for the past several years, looking to compete in a division that stars Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

While Mahomes and the Chiefs have dominated their division since he took over as the starting quarterback, Crosby has clearly put himself in the conversation as one of the best defensive players in the NFL during the same span.

As Crosby fights to get to the quarterback and wreak havoc for the Raiders, he's also been making an incredible impact outside the white lines.

On Thursday, the NFL announced the 32 club winners for what many call the "league's most prestigious honor."

As the Raiders' club winner, Maxx Crosby is a semifinalist to win the award, battling against some of the NFL's biggest stars such as the Chiefs' Travis Kelce, Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers, Kyren Williams of the Los Angeles Rams and Jeffery Simmons of the Tennessee Titans.

The Walter Payton Man of the Year award recognizes NFL players for their outstanding achievement on and off the field, most notably acknowledging their commitment to community philanthropy.

Throughout his first season with head coach Pete Carroll leading the Las Vegas Raiders, Maxx Crosby has posted one interception, two forced fumbles, eight sacks and 59 tackles.

Crosby is leading the way for the Raiders (2-10), who are set to miss the postseason mark yet again.

Their next matchup will be against the Denver Broncos (10-2) in Week 14. Las Vegas hosts Denver at 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS.
