Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 36-19 in Week 14. It marked the team's third straight loss, dropping them to 8-5.

Taylor had a solid game, though, finishing with 74 rushing yards and one touchdown on 21 carries. Unfortunately, the biggest storyline to come from the game was quarterback Daniel Jones suffering an Achilles injury.

It came with 47 seconds left in the first quarter on third-and-8, when Jones delivered a seven-yard pass to wide receiver Alec Pierce. However, the gain was wiped out after Taylor was penalized for a chop block.

Not only did the Colts lose Jones, but they were backed up another 15 yards. The drive quickly stalled, and Indianapolis punted two plays later.

Unfortunately for Taylor, in addition to being responsible for a 15-yard penalty, he also put himself in line for even more punishment. According to the NFL rulebook, players can be fined $12,172 for a chop block and $17,968 for a second violation in the same season.

The league announced its official decision for Taylor on Saturday. Luckily for him, he didn't appear on the Week 14 gameday accountability report. In fact, the NFL handed out only 17 fines, a big dip from the 29 in Week 13. Since joining the NFL in 2020, the two-time Pro Bowler has yet to be fined.

After avoiding an additional punishment, he and the Colts hit the road for a Week 15 matchup against the 10-3 Seattle Seahawks . Taylor will be taking handoffs from 44-year-old quarterback Philip Rivers who has not started a game since the 2020 season.
