NFL 'MNF' Week 5: Best bets and preview for Raiders vs. Packers

It's time for another edition of "Monday Night Football," and we can only hope this week's matchup between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Green Bay Packers is more entertaining than last week's debacle between the New York Giants and the Seattle Seahawks.

We can at least spice up "MNF" with a few wagers, so let's target some best bets for Raiders-Packers.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Green Bay Packers betting breakdown

Betting odds: Raiders -2, over/under 46.5, Raiders -130 moneyline, Packers +110 moneyline

The 2-2 Packers will travel west this week for a "Monday Night Football" showdown against the 1-3 Raiders, and the loser will be on the outside looking in at a playoff spot.

The Raiders, after losing to the Los Angeles Chargers with rookie QB Aidan O'Connell under center last week, will be getting Jimmy Garoppolo back from his concussion. Davante Adams barely practiced this week due to a shoulder injury, but he's expected to play on "MNF."

The Packers are also much healthier than they've been in recent weeks. Aaron Jones and Christian Watson will be good to go, and Jaire Alexander is expected to return after missing the last two weeks due to a back injury.

'Monday Night Football' best bets

Over 46.5 (-108 DraftKings)

The Packers have been a dead over team to start the season. Three of Green Bay's first four games went over this total, and Packers games are averaging 49.0 points so far.

That should continue on Monday night against a Raiders defense that ranks 28th in defense DVOA. Jordan Love will be able to have success throwing the ball with the healthiest group of weapons he's had at his disposal all season.

On the other side, the Raiders can put up points with Garoppolo back under center. Josh Jacobs hasn't gotten going yet, but this could be his breakout game against a Packers defense that's giving up the second-most rushing yards per game in the NFL.

Jakobi Meyers over 4.5 receptions (-105 FanDuel)

Garoppolo and Jakobi Meyers have already established a great rapport with the Raiders. In two games played together, Meyers has 16 catches on 22 targets for 166 yards and two touchdowns.

Adams is the clear No. 1 wide receiver in Las Vegas, but he didn't practice for most of the week and won't be operating at 100 percent. He'll also be shadowed by Alexander for most of the game, so Meyers could easily be the most targeted Raider in this matchup.
