The 2025 NFL Draft is less than two months away, and now Brian Gutekunst knows exactly which picks he will work with for the Green Bay Packers. It will be a particularly important moment for the franchise, because the draft will be in Green Bay for the first time.

The NFL released the precise selections in every round. Green Bay got a compensatory seventh-round pick for losing Yosh Nijman in free agency.

Now, the Packers are slated to have eight total picks—they don't have their own seventh-rounder, traded to the Tennessee Titans for quarterback Malik Willis, but they added another seventh by trading Preston Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Packers' official picks in the 2025 NFL Draft

  • Round 1: No. 23 overall
  • Round 2: No. 54 overall
  • Round 3: No 87 overall
  • Round 4: No. 124 overall
  • Round 5: No. 159 overall
  • Round 6: No. 198 overall
  • Round 7: No. 237 overall (via Pittsburgh Steelers)
  • Round 7: No. 250 overall (compensatory pick, Yosh Nijman)

Over the past three years, general manager Brian Gutekunst has preached the importance of having multiple picks. Nobody has made more selections than the Green Bay Packers, and that's the foundation of the roster.

The 2023 Packers and the 2024 Packers are the two youngest teams in modern history to reach the playoffs.

When asked about having "only" eight picks at the NFL Combine, Gutekunst replied with an intriguing proposition:

"Yet," he said, giving an indication that maybe a trade down to accumulate picks could be in play.

Right now, the Packers still have a solid number of selections, and those can be the base for what the franchise wants to be over the next few years. Something that is especially important for a franchise structured around its draft and development model.

Brian Gutekunst is the Packers' general manager since 2018, so this will be his eighth draft calling the shots for the Packers. And this is a special one, hosted by the city of Green Bay.
