NFL players who could be dealt at the trade deadline

A pending free agent, Anzalone has played every snap for the Lions battered defense and done an adequate job stopping the run. He could be an attractive addition for struggling defenses.

The long-time Rams defensive lineman isn't accomplishing much for the winless Lions, with only one sack through six games. He could add depth for a contender at age 30.

It's been another year in and out of the lineup for the oft-injured Coleman, who averaged only 3.5 yards per carry through Week 6. He can still provide some versatility and goal-line carries for a team needing running back depth, and many contenders fall in that category.

Cooks is one of the few truly attractive trade chips on the Texans, on pace to finish with well over 1,000 yards receiving for the sixth time in his career. His contract could be an obstacle for some teams, but Cooks still has an argument as a No. 1 receiver on several contenders. He'd likely be able to fetch Houston a valuable draft pick.

Crowder missed time to injury early in the year and has recently been taking snaps away from younger players like Elijah Moore. New York rightfully wants to give young Zach Wilson as many weapons as possible, but adding a draft pick for Crowder would help more in the long term.

Fitzpatrick has been out since Week 1 due to a hip injury, and the remainder of his season is questionable. Still, he's been a consistent veteran presence in recent years who could be a valuable fallback option for quarterback-needy contenders like the Seahawks and Browns.

Foles has gone from Super Bowl MVP to third-string quarterback in just a few years, and it's apparent there hasn't been much interest in him on the trade market. Still, his experience holds value in a quarterback room and an emergency, and his salary isn't unreasonable for a No. 2 option.

Fowler has struggled since joining the Falcons last season, but he's just one year removed from recording 11.5 sacks with the Rams. The pending free agent should still have a viable market at age 27.

Fuller has been a disappointment since joining the Broncos in the offseason, showing that he's lost his step since his prime in Chicago. The state of cornerback in the NFL is dire, so even Fuller's struggles should have a market. With the Broncos reeling following a quick start, Fuller could be looking at a new home.

Now in his third season with Denver, Jackson continues to produce but isn't making much of a difference for a team that has an inept offense. Now 33, the safety is at a point where he likely wants to run, and his pending free agency could cause the Broncos to explore a trade.

Kirksey has been a clear defensive leader for the Texans, but the team can lose with or without him. The oft-injured linebacker is healthy now and could get the Texans a strong draft choice in return.

Lindsay is one of several running backs Houston added in the offseason, but he's yet to see 30% of offensive snaps in a game. He has the versatility to be a valuable third-down back for a contender and is a free agent after this season.

McCain is a team leader, but he's found defending in Washington's struggling secondary difficult. His versatility in playing either corner or safety should bring value to another team while Washington flounders this season.

Hargreaves has been a regular starter since joining the Texans in 2019, though his performance has been inconsistent. Cornerback is always in need around the NFL, however, and contenders like the Bucs and Packers could get in a bidding war for the pending free agent.

The versatile Johnson has been in the thick of Houston's running back committee this season, used almost as much as a receiver as he has a runner. The former All-Pro has shown he still has something left, especially as a potential third-down back, and is a pending free agent.

Jones is signed through next season but continues to look like a bargain contract from the offseason. The former 1,000-yard receiver in Detroit can still claim 50/50 balls with the best of them and could net the Jaguars a draft pick if they decide to move on.

Mack requested a trade earlier this season as he plays sparingly behind Jonathan Taylor. He hasn't shown quite the same flash while returning from a torn Achilles but can still be a solid change of pace back.

The 34-year-old McCourty has struggled in Miami's banged-up secondary this season but still offers solid versatility and experience. If the Dolphins decide to have a firesale, he will likely have a market.

Moreau came over from Washington on a one-year contract in the offseason but has had a rough go in Atlanta's secondary. He's a prime trade candidate as a free agent who could add depth for a contender.

The enigmatic Parker has struggled through injury recently and failed to produce any big games early in the year after a disappointing 2020 season. His contract is a potential hindrance, signed through 2023, but the raw talent is there for another team willing to take a chance.

Reid has continued to be one of the most stable players on Houston's defense and had two picks in his first five games this season. His pending free agency and very reasonable salary could attract plenty of calls.

Franchised by the Jaguars in the offseason, Robinson has been a solid but unspectacular left tackle in Jacksonville for five seasons. The team might be ready to move on rather than paying him next offseason, so a trade would make sense with rookie Walker Little available to replace him.

Washington requested a trade as the season opened, but we haven't heard much from him since then. JuJu Smith-Schuster's season-ending injury could help Washington find the field more often, but the Steelers would probably be willing to grant his wishes if they find a viable offer.

Watson is a major dilemma as a trade target with his playing future uncertain due to legal trouble, but he wanted out of Houston even before those issues became public. There have been rampant trade rumors recently, and it remains to be seen if the Texans will move Watson before the trade deadline.

Wilson signed a one-year deal with Jacksonville after two solid years as a starter in KC. He's been a tackle magnet since joining the Jags and could add value elsewhere, including his former team.
