With Week 16 nearly completed, there are just two weeks of regular season football remaining before the NFL playoffs begin. That in mind, the postseason picture is beginning to take shape with eight teams having already punched their ticket.
Six of the 14 playoff spots are still up for grabs with 11 teams still in contention to make it. You can view a full breakdown of the 2024 NFL playoff picture after Week 16 below.
Clinched playoff spot
Still in the hunt
Eliminated
The Green Bay Packers have still yet to play this week as they will take on the New Orleans Saints on Monday evening. The Packers would clinch a playoff berth with a win in that game, marking their fifth postseason appearance across the past six years.
Additionally, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently trailing the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 23-14 at halftime Sunday evening. Although a loss would not eliminate Tampa Bay from the playoff picture, every win is critical for the Bucs at this point.
The Kansas City Chiefs are once again the favorite to win the Super Bowl after claiming back-to-back titles each of the past two seasons. Led by superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, they have not only clinched a playoff berth but also the AFC West title with a 14-1 record.
The NFL playoffs are set to begin Jan. 11 with the Wild Card round, all culminating with Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 25, 2025. Before then, we have an exciting final two weeks of the regular season that will determine which teams are competing for the trophy.
