NFL Power Rankings: Week 15
Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

The year of the backup QBs continued in the NFL this week as seven QBs who were not their team's Week 1 starter picked up a win in Week 14.

Follow all the NFL's trends throughout the season with us here at A to Z Sports. Each week, we will release an updated NFL power rankings based on the most recent performances by each NFL team. If you missed Week 14's power rankings, click here.

NFL Power Rankings Week 13:

1. San Francisco 49ers (10-3) ↔️

The 49ers are seeing a nice thank you card to the Dallas Cowboys this week. They now sit as the top seed in the NFC following the Cowboys Week 14 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The 49ers continued their recent success as they picked up their fifth win in a row behind the stellar play of their high-powered offense. QB Brock Purdy contained his breakout season, throwing for 368 yards, and got 100+ yard performances from three different players: Christian McCaffery (145 rushing yards), Deebo Samuel (149 receiving yards), and Brandon Aiyuk (126 receiving yards).

2. Dallas Cowboys (10-3) 1

The Cowboys not only beat their divisional rivals this week, but they embarrassed them to pick up their fifth win in a row. They dominated the Eagles in a 33-13 win to improve to 10-3 on the year and took over first place in the NFC East. QB Dak Prescott continued his incredible season and now looks to be in the driver's seat for the NFL's Most Valuable Player award.

3. Baltimore Ravens (10-3) 2

Week 14 couldn't have gone better for the Baltimore Ravens, as they saw the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins lose this week, leading to them taking sole possession of the top seed in the AFC as the only team in the conference with ten wins on the season. It didn't come easy for the Ravens as the Los Angeles Rams gave them a run for their money in Week 14, but they pulled out the 37-31 win. Any advantage the Ravens can get with their brutal upcoming schedule is a massive win toward their chances of locking up the highly valuable first round in the AFC playoffs.

4. Philadelphia Eagles (10-3) 2

The Eagles time as the top seed in the NFC came to an end this week after being blown out by their rivals, the Cowboys, by a score of 33 to 13. Their offense failed to score a touchdown on the day, and QB Jalen Hurts failed to surpass 200 passing yards. On the bright side for the Eagles, they have the weakest remaining schedule in the entire NFL, which means their hopes of earning the first-round bye in the NFC are very much alive.

  • Week 15: @ Seattle Seahawks (6-7)
  • Week 16: Vs. New York Giants (5-8)
  • Week 17: Vs. Arizona Cardinals (3-10)
  • Week 18: @ New York Giants (5-8)

5. Kansas City Chiefs (8-5) 1

The Chiefs lost back-to-back games for the first time this season after their Week 14 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Again, much of the blame falls on the the Chiefs lackluster WR room. The Chiefs have made it known that they believe this loss falls on the poor officiating. After a call some are calling controversial took a touchdown off the board that would have given the Chiefs the lead late in the 4th quarter. In my opinion, it is pretty clear that Kadarius Toney was offsides and, therefore, was the correct call, even though the call is rarely made.

6. Buffalo Bills (7-6) 2

7. Miami Dolphins (9-4) 1

The Dolphins loss to the Titans in Week 14 was likely the most shocking result of the week. This loss ended their three-game winning streak and added more fire to those questioning if they are a legitimate Super Bowl contender. The Dolphins have only one win this season over a team with a winning record, which came in Week 3 over the Denver Broncos. This loss stings, but the Dolphins don't have much time to lick their wounds. They will have the opportunity to prove their doubters wrong, as three of their final four games are against teams with winning records.

  • Week 15: Vs. New York Jets (5-8)
  • Week 16: Vs. Dallas Cowboys (10-3)
  • Week 17: @ Baltimore Ravens (10-3)
  • Week 18: Vs. Buffalo Bills (7-6)

8. Detroit Lions (9-4) 2

9. Los Angeles Rams (6-7) 2

10. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-5) 1

11. Denver Broncos (7-6) 5

12. Cleveland Browns (8-5) 6

How about Joe "Is he Elite" Flacco, picking up a massive win in just his 2nd game of the season. He did so with his team as the underdog against the Jaguars in Week 14. Flacco threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns on his way to a 31-27 win. Some may have written the Browns off after they lost Deshaun Watson for the year, but this roster is not going down without a fight, and currently finds themselves inside the AFC Playoff Picture as the fifth seed in the AFC at 8-5.

13. Houston Texans (7-6) 3

14. Cincinnati Bengals (7-6) 6

15. Indianapolis Colts (7-6) 3

16. Seattle Seahawks (6-7) 1

17. Green Bay Packers (6-7) 4

18. New Orleans Saints (6-7) 1

19. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6) 5

The Steelers struggles on offense seem to be finally catching up with them. They have lost two straight games against teams with two wins on the season vs. the Arizona Cardinals and New England Patriots. With four games remaining, they sit as the sixth seed in the AFC and are one of six teams in the conference to have a 7-6 record. This means every game from here on out has playoff implications for the Steelers.

20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-7) 1

21. Atlanta Falcons (6-7) 4

22. Tennessee Titans (5-8) 1

Week 14 went out with a bang, as the Titans pulled out the biggest upset of the week on Monday Night Football over the Dolphins 28-27. Rookie QB Will Levis has been far from perfect but has undoubtedly left it all on the field from the moment he was named the team's starter. And he embodies the style of play his head coach Mike Vrabel admires. While they only have five wins on the season, three of their remaining four games are against AFC South opponents. This means the Titans have a minimal chance of salvaging their season, and it seems they will give it everything they have.

23. Chicago Bears (5-8) 3

24. Los Angeles Chargers (5-8) 2

25. New York Jets (5-8) 5

The New York Jets have been in the national news as of late, but not for good reasons. It was reported by the Athletic that Zach Wilson was declining to start for the team early in the week. Things seemed to change throughout the week, as Wilson would go on to make the start, and I'm sure he is glad he did, as he had one of his best outings as a pro. He completed 27 of his 36 pass attempts for 301 yards and two touchdowns as he led the Jets to an impressive 30-6 win over the Houston Texans.

26. Minnesota Vikings (7-6) 1

27. Washington Commanders (4-9) 3

28. New York Giants (5-8) 1

The legend of Tommy Devito lives on as the New York Giants have won three in a row following their 24-22 win over the Packers. The Giants season hasn't gone according to plan, but for them to pick up this momentum late in the season should help their chances of rebounding next season. But some are already wondering if we've seen the last of Daniel Jones in New York.

29. Arizona Cardinals (3-10) 1

30. Las Vegas Raiders (5-8) 3

31. New England Patriots (3-10) ↔️

32. Carolina Panthers (1-12) ↔️
