After running back legend Randy Moss confirmed his battle against cancer, the NFL made sure to show its support for the icon with multiple messages.

On Friday, Moss shared that he has indeed suffered from cancer, but he emphasized that he's now a "cancer survivor." The six-time Pro Bowler-turned ESPN analyst detailed his most recent health battle, sharing that he underwent a "six-hour surgery."

"Y'all know I've told y'all over the last couple of weeks about me battling something internally," Moss revealed in an Instagram Live session on Friday. "Your boy is a cancer survivor... So, I did have cancer. They found it in the bile duct, right between the pancreas and the liver. The cancer was sitting right outside the bile duct."

"Had six-hour surgery. I had a Whipple procedure. ... Things did take a turn for the worse. I asked for my prayer warriors. I asked for my family to be able to surround me, to put their hands on me through these trying times, and y'all best believe your boy came through."

Moss, however, still has to undergo chemotherapy and radiation as he recovers from the illness.

That being said, the NFL showed its solidarity with Moss and gave him reassurance that he is in the organization's thoughts and prayers.

"Our thoughts are with you, Randy," the NFL wrote in an Instagram post while delivering the news about Moss' health.

As mentioned, the NFL sent multiple messages to Randy Moss. In the comment section of his announcement, the league's social media team also wrote, "We’re with you, Randy."

Furthermore, on X, the league showed further support to Moss by sharing his "Let's Moss Cancer" campaign. The Pro Football Hall of Famer and his team have set up a platform where fans can buy merchandise and donate for cancer awareness initiatives.

More updates about Moss' health status are expected to come in the next few weeks as he continues his recovery.
