NFL Survivor Pick Week 5 2025 Recap
- Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (9) throws the ball to receiver Puka Nacua (17) against the Minnesota Vikings during their playoff game at State Farm Stadium on Jan. 13, 2025, in Glendale.

Week 5 of the 2025 NFL Season has come and gone. This was the week that had a chunk of pool players eliminated. It was not a great week for most players in Survivor, but I made recommendations for the top 5 choices. Let’s reflect and see which were good picks and which were bad picks.

1. Arizona Cardinals

Wow. I knew the Arizona Cardinals were a mediocre football team, but that was a disgraceful performance. What a way to blow a 21-6 lead, and the Titans can thank Emari Demercado for that botched touchdown by fumbling the football crossing the end zone. Why is he still on the team again? Oh, right, the Cardinals have no depth at running back thanks to injuries. Ever since that happened, the Cardinals were never the same, and the Titans came back. The Titans are the worst-coached team in the NFL, and Arizona got outcoached by them.

2. Detroit Lions

Left to right: Lions running back David Montgomery, quarterback Jared Goff, running back Jahmyr Gibbs and receiver Jameson Williams celebrate the go-ahead 1-yard touchdown by Montgomery vs. the Bears with 29 seconds remaining at Ford Field, Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023.

Yeah, those Week 1 worries are not just long gone, they’re buried deep. They dominated the Cleveland Browns in a 34-10 victory, and it is not a surprise. The Lions are the much better team, and the Browns did not have much chance with the Lions at home. It was a stress-free pick to make in Survivor.

3. Buffalo Bills

Oh no, are the New England Patriots back? They pulled an upset, beating the Buffalo Bills 23-20, and it was a surprise. Rewatching the game, the Bills were on pilot mode, and it’s not time to panic, because it is a divisional game, but they need to wake up and play better. But this game was a big win for the Patriots. Please let’s not hope a new dynasty starts because of this.

4 Indianapolis Colts

This Colts team is for real. Real NFL contenders beat down on terrible competition and play good teams close. The Colts did that as the Las Vegas Raiders are terrible. Geno Smith looks awful as the QB, and Pete Carroll is clearly past his prime as the coach. The Colts took care of business.

5 Los Angeles Rams

The Rams are a tremendous disappointment. After all the injuries the 49ers have been dealing with and the Win easily there, they drop the ball like Kyren Williams in the red zone. He is not the one to blame for the loss; the Rams’ coaching staff is. Why, on a 4th and 1 in the red zone, would you not trust Stafford with his arm or take the points, tie it up, and have Mac Jones (On one arm and leg) struggle on offense? Makes no sense, and as a result, I have been eliminated in survivor pools as they were my pick for this week.

2-3 Record For My Survivor Week 5 Recommendations

This was the worst week of the season, survivor-wise, when making recommendations. It really sucks, and hopefully you took the advice of taking the Colts or Lions. If you chose the Bills, Rams, and Cardinals, you have been eliminated in survivor. For more updates regarding Survivor Pool picks, check out Total Apex Fantasy & Bets.
